چکیده
Abstract A face-centred central composite experimental design scheme was used to find conditions this would result in producing magnetic bleached teawaste (MBTW) adsorbent material have the optimum hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) removal capacity. The effect of treatment conditions, namely temperature (200 °C, 350 500 °C), duration heat (2 h, 3 4 h), concentration iron chloride (0.02 g/g, 0.055 0.09 g/g) added investigated. results obtained showed that pyrolysis and amount during had significant effects on performance MBTW both total Cr(VI). Increasing from 200 °C Cr(VI) Cr decrease. with for detailed adsorption study. study indicated has an excellent Langmuir capacity (269.9 mg/g). process also involved reduction Cr(III). shown be temperature-dependent endothermic. According FTIR analysis kinetic modelling results, chemisorption is main mechanism responsible background ions investigated show presence carbonate caused a huge while least effect.

Removal of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solution using canola biomass: Isotherms and kinetics studies
The removing of hexavalent chromium from wastewater or decreasing its chromium (VI) content up to the permitted levels is important due to its non-biodegradation, bioaccumulation, and cancer-causing and toxic effects. In the present study, biosorption of Cr (VI) from aqueous solutions using canola was investigated. The various physicochemical parameters such as pH, initial Cr (VI) ion concentra...

متن کاملRemoval of hexavalent chromium from aqueous environments using adsorbents (Lemna and Azolla): An Equilibrium and Kinetics Study
Introduction: Chromium is among the important heavy metals which is found in most industrial wastes and is associated with both health and environmental risks. Therefore, this study tries to analyze the efficiency of lemna and azolla powders in removing hexavalent chromium from aqueous solutions. Methods: As an experimental trial, this study was conducted experimentally in the lab scale. Initia...
متن کاملAgricultural Waste as Adsorbent for Removal of Chromium (VI) from Aqueous Solution
Background & Aims of the Study: Since the chromium (VI) is a toxic, carcinogenic and non-biodegradable element and can accumulate in the tissues, the presence and release of this element through the effluents is associated with dangerous effects on life cycle. Thus, it should be removed from the effluents. In the present study, biosorption of Cr(VI) from aqueous solutio...
